Pheasants Forever Calgary is investing $50,000 into on-the-ground habitat conservation with our partner Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC). Circle E and the Cameron wetland complexes are part of a tremendous ribbon of southern Alberta habitat that benefits upland game birds, waterfowl and other wildlife. Pheasants Forever support has provided for contractors to clean the ditches of debris at the Cameron Complex so that water can flow freely – ensuring the habitat stays in place. Operations and maintenance of these large irrigation complexes is critical to their longevity.
